Xpert TDLAS & QF Analyzers
TDLAS & QF Analyzers are optical gas analysis instruments that use laser-based techniques for selective, online measurement of key components in process gas streams. Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) targets specific molecular absorption lines, while Quenched Fluorescence (QF) techniques support oxygen measurement over ranges from trace levels to percent concentrations.
Within this category, TDLAS analyzers are applied to constituents such as H₂O, H₂S, and CO₂, providing component tracking that is directly relevant to dehydration, acid-gas handling, combustion control, and product quality. QF oxygen analyzers extend coverage from ultra-low O₂ for inerting and catalyst protection to higher levels for general process and safety monitoring.
Benefits include high selectivity, rapid response, and reduced total cost of ownership compared with slower, sampling-intensive approaches. By delivering continuous, online results, these analyzers strengthen quality control and process control loops, reduce the risk of off-spec production, and help maximize analyzer and process uptime.
Typical applications include natural gas processing and pipelines, refinery and petrochemical units, chemical manufacturing, gas treatment and dehydration packages, sulfur recovery and tail-gas handling, and any process where tight control of moisture, oxygen, or acid-gas content is economically critical. The technology is also well suited to measurement points where fast detection of excursions is required for safety interlocks or protective actions.
Implementation considerations usually center on measurement location (in-situ versus extractive), optical path management, and ensuring the analyzer package aligns with the site’s hazardous-area and maintenance strategies. When properly engineered, TDLAS & QF analyzers provide a durable platform for continuous gas composition assurance in demanding process environments.
